Student Employment

Studying for a degree or other higher education qualification will no doubt be taking up quite a bit of your time, but it comes at a price. Many of you will be looking for work to help pay off study fees, loans, and living costs while you’re at university.

Some universities will have their own employment service on campus, offering students the chance to work in on-campus bars and sports facilities, provide support for various university departments, or as help during open days. They can also provide contacts for holiday work outside campus. This could involve working at music festivals, taking on a paid summer work placement to gain some work experience, or doing anything from shop work to fruit picking. There are plenty of possibilities open to students, including summer camps, hospitality work at summer functions and events, or work abroad as entertainment or sports coaching staff.
